Water Softener Replacement in Citra, FL

Water Softener Replacement in Citra, FL

Water softener replacement in Citra, FL makes sense when the repair bill starts to look like a new unit. Citra, FL Water Softener Installation sees it most often with older timer-based softeners, cracked mineral tanks, and control heads whose parts are no longer made.

A replacement is a chance to fix the sizing too. Plenty of older homes have a softener that was too small from day one, so it regenerates every night and goes through a bag of salt a week. We test your hardness again, check your flow rate, and size the new unit so it regenerates every few days instead.

The swap goes like this:

• Put the old softener in bypass and drain it
• Disconnect and haul away the old tanks
• Fit the new mineral tank, control valve and brine tank
• Re-check the drain line and air gap
• Program the hardness, regeneration time and salt setting

Most replacements reuse the existing loop and bypass, which keeps the job to a few hours. If the old bypass leaks or seizes, we replace it while the water is off.
